Foundations

Year 7 students are fully integrated into the Lower Secondary School, enjoying all the advantages of a secondary program, while also receiving the benefit of excellent support and pastoral care structures. The Year 7/8 Mentor works closely with parents, Heads of House and subject teachers to ensure that Year 7 students feel supported and safe during their transition to secondary schooling.

LJBC’s Lower Secondary curriculum is based on the Western Australian Curriculum and Assessment Outline in English, Mathematics, Science, History and Geography. The remaining subjects are currently aligned with the WA Curriculum Framework and are transitioning through to the Western Australian Curriculum and Assessment Outline as it is adapted for use in Western Australian classrooms.
